2013 has been a very eventful year! I’m so blessed, grateful, and thrilled with all of the amazing couples I have worked with. Throughout the past year, I have been able to share some of my favorite photos from weddings and engagement sessions in this blog (and still have one more wedding to post soon!) This job is something I’m incredibly thankful for, I am able to meet so many wonderful people and capture so much happiness. So, a special thank you goes out to all of my friends, family, couples, and everyone who has supported me over the years! You are the best!!
Now to switch things up a little bit. Typically in the past I haven’t posted anything about what’s happening behind the scenes in my personal life. So here’s a peek at what 2013 looked like for my husband & I: In February, we took a trip to New York to visit my littlest sister Sheena! While we were there, we visited Broadway to see Newsies! We also visited quite a few sites, found palm trees, and dined with squirrels. June was a big month for us. Our 3rd niece was born! Brooklyn Marie. We also bought a house that month…and pretty much painted the entire inside of it. painting, painting, and more painting…but we LOVE the way it turned out!
When our house was all painted inside, we brought home a new little fur-baby. A kitten we named Kingsley.
…who grew into this kitten-cat:
In August, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary! Woot woot!! …we started the day off with a water fight.
Then tried some 1 year old freezer burnt cake, had a picnic under the willow tree where we got married, and watched the sun set from the High Trestle Trail Bridge.
The rest of the year and all of the in-between times we spent time with each other, friends, family, and working (of course).
Goodbye to 2013 and the great year that it was! I’m very excited for this coming year’s adventures. I have a lot in store for Garnet Photography, so stay tuned! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
