Hi, I'm Jonathan - owner of Garnet Photo.
My photography journey began 15 years ago when I got my first camera to capture memories of adventures, celebrations, and loved ones. I not only fell in love with the photographs but also the process of taking them.
At first it was snapshots, but it quickly became an obsession to take better photos. I studied books, watched tutorials, and attended training to improve my creativity, composition, and technique. I never stop trying to improve and spend time everyday trying to become a better photographer.
In 2024, I started Garnet Photo as a way to share my passion for photography with the world. Whether it's capturing a family's love, a headshot to help grow a career, or preserving memories of a special day, I'm grateful to have an opportunity to bring joy to people through photographs they will love to see and share.
I'm often asked why the business is named Garnet Photo. It is a tribute to my wife whose birthstone is garnet. She believed in my potential and encouraged me to begin this journey. In every photo session, I do my best for my clients and to honor her.
